The middle class is shrinking in most U.S. metropolitan areas, and lower-and upper-income tiers are gaining share

I chose this paragraph to look at various incomes in our society. It varies by upper income, lower income, and middle income. The importance of this graph, is to show that the middle class is shrinking. Lower class is increasing and on the rise. The graph shows adults from the years 2000 to 2014, in metropolitan areas. As shown on the graph, upper class and lower class is increasing, while the middle class is vastly decreasing.

  1. I agree, with all my own research i have done for this class it all supports that the middle class is shrinking. people are getting poorer and the rich are getting ricer, leaving the middle to go either way. we need the middle class to keep hope of a growing and improving economy, it is always great to see people grow, not to see people fall.
